Story Developer / Story Artist / Screenwriter

About Me
When I was a child, I hated reading. As someone with dyslexia, it felt like a chore I had to avoid, fake, or suffer through. I never understood how others could enjoy it. What I did love was acting—being in the moment, playing scenes, connecting with people. Then one day in drama class, we had to write a short play. That came naturally. After I performed it, my teacher said, “Please stop acting. You’re not good at it. But writing? Now that’s something you’ve got.” And deep down, I knew he
was right.
As I got older and playtime was over, I wondered what I was meant to do with my life. One night I sat on the porch with my dad under a starry sky and asked him how I’d know. He said, “When you do what you are meant to do, for the first time, you’ll feel it.” I told him I loved writing and creating stories. He smiled and said, “There are as many stories to tell as there are stars in the sky.” The next day, he bought me a word processor. It was big, grey, and clunky, and he told me to learn to type. I resisted at first, but I typed my first script on that thing. It wasn’t great, but it was finished. Then he bought me a laptop, thank God.
So I taught myself screenwriting, earned a BA in Writing for the Entertainment Industry, and completed a Master’s in Creative Writing. Yes, CREATIVE WRITING. I cried because I was unsure of what I’d do with it. But I reminded myself why I started that journey: I love stories.
For over a decade, I’ve built a career where words and images meet. I have written poems, scripts, and children’s books, and
I have helped others bring their stories to life through publishing. I am obsessed with the Hero’s Journey, the psychology behind storytelling, and the magic of emotionally resonant tales. Writing and art are my passions. They have shaped who
I am today.
